Tomorrow we will host our first Armory of February with the new LSS GEM packs, and we have some updates on how the event will go down. Our current Armory events have a $5 entry fee, with a pack-per-win prize support in addition to the Armory promos provided by LSS. Our attendance is consistent, and our player base has been happy with this structure. Now that The Hunted is out with a new box MSRP of $119.90, we floated the idea of raising our entry cost to $8, with the same pack-per-win model, and the GEM pack in place of the typical promos. There was a good discussion on placing value on GEM packs, the cost for an LGS to stay in good standing with another company, and the overall Armory experience. We even had a few locals ask us to charge them more than we proposed.

After the discussion, I went back to the original GEM pack FAQ to refresh my understanding and goals of the product. The overall sentiment of GEM packs is in my opinion, to foster the core goals of Flesh and Blood: "Our mission is to bring people together in the flesh and blood through the common language of playing great games."

After reviewing the article, listening to our customer base and even conversing with other stores, we feel it is in the best interest of our player base, and our store to make Armory nights free to play. The prize support will adjust to one GEM pack per player, given out at the conclusion of round 2. The goal of the MinMaxGames Armory is to provide a clean, safe, and fun environment to play games of Flesh and Blood with old and new friends. We believe eliminating the fee for entry will overall positively impact our attendance, and hopefully lead to increased sales from those who choose to support the places where they play. On the last Armory of the season, there is a good chance we will not have enough GEM packs to provide one to each player. When this happens, the remaining GEM packs will be raffled off at the conclusion of round 2 until they have all been given out. We will continue to run our Armories this way for the next four months (The first full season of GEM packs) and revisit the event before GEM pack 2 is released.
