Outsiders is upon us! Our team has been diligently preparing for the release of this next set. MinMaxGames has opened 500 boxes for our initial singles inventory, and we are currently in the sorting and organizing phase. We expect to have singles ready for pre-sale by this Wednesday, but there is a problem. Our initial box opening produced only 25 majestic playsets each. This is drastically lower than expected, and we expect them to sell out quickly.
We lost a majestic per pack, and added an additional 4 majestics total. I want to make a note here, that we should be fortunate that LSS provides us with this information. They truly are committed to transparency, that's on another level compared to other tcgs.
We are in the process of acquiring more inventory to open, and we will do our best to make sure that there are enough cards to play with during the Chicago Brawl. That being said, with only 25 playsets currently available, we will not be able to equip every blossoming Azalea player at the event. We will have packs and boxes also available at the event, and at the store locally on release day. In order to best equip our Brawlers, majestics will only be available initially for pick-up at the Chicago brawl, and limited to a playset per card. Majestics will be made available internationally soon after the event.
In the short run, this will cause majestics to maintain a high price floor until enough product is introduced into the market. We believe overall this is a very positive thing for the longevity of the set. A reasonable EV, (expected value) combined with a refined draft experience should keep Outsiders on the shelves at your LGS for a long time, and should help provide an enjoyable limited series for future Battle Hardeneds and Callings.
